Kimway Stone Industry Sdn. Bhd. is a private company based in Senai, Johor, that manufactures and supplies a range of stone materials and provides related design, fabrication and installation services. For JDC 2026, the company presents a bespoke kitchen island in Patagonia quartzite, a stone known for its dramatic veining and crystal formations. Because every slab is different, no two pieces are ever identical. The island is precisely backlit so that light passes through the solid stone, revealing its depth and creating a warm, translucent glow. Designed by the company’s director, Yan Yan, it serves both as the working hub of the kitchen and as a sculptural focal point.
